CUT. FORM. WELD. FABRICATE.

Five core capabilities. Practical engineering support. One team focused on turning customer designs into finished metalwork.

OUR CAPABILITIES

FROM CUSTOMER DESIGN TO FINISHED FABRICATION

Every project has different technical, commercial and production requirements.

Metallix works from customer designs and can support the project through a combination of in-house processes and hands-on fabrication knowledge. Where useful, we can also provide practical engineering input to help improve how the design is manufactured.

TIG and MIG welding for bespoke fabrication and production requirements.

Laser Cutting Machine

LASER CUTTING

3kW laser cutting for precise parts, prototypes and larger production requirements.

8 FABRICATION BAYS

Our workshop includes eight fabrication bays, each approximately 3m by 4m.

3KW LASER CUTTING

In-house laser cutting capability for customer-designed parts and components.

2 PRESS BRAKE MACHINES

Supporting forming and folding requirements across a range of fabrication projects.

TIG & MIG WELDING

Welding capability for components, frames and custom-built fabrications.

SHEET METAL FABRICATION & FRAME BUILDING

We provide bespoke sheet metal fabrication and frame building around customer-supplied designs and project requirements.

Our fabrication capability can support one-off parts, prototypes, custom-built solutions and repeat production requirements. Each enquiry is considered individually, allowing the team to understand the intended use, quantity and technical requirements before manufacture begins.

Our workshop includes eight fabrication bays, each approximately 3m by 4m, providing dedicated space for a varied range of fabrication work.

ENGINEERING & DESIGN SUPPORT

Metallix can review customer designs from a manufacturing perspective and suggest improvements that may make a part easier to produce, more cost-effective or better suited to its intended application.

The aim is not to take over the customer’s design. It is to bring hands-on fabrication knowledge into the conversation and work together to find the most practical solution.

Our support can help customers consider:

  • How the design will move through manufacture

  • Whether features could be simplified

  • Opportunities to reduce unnecessary cost

  • How the design could support better product performance

  • Whether the component is suitable for repeat production

FORMING, FOLDING & ROLLING

Metallix provides forming, folding and rolling as part of its sheet metal fabrication capability.

Two press brake machines support the shaping of sheet metal components according to customer designs and project requirements. These processes can be used independently or combined with laser cutting, welding and fabrication to produce a more complete finished item.

We can support formed and folded components for bespoke work, prototypes and larger production requirements.

WELDING

Our team provides TIG and MIG welding for fabricated components, metal frames and custom-built solutions.

Welding can form part of a wider fabrication project or support an individual customer requirement. The team works from the supplied design and specification, taking the intended application and wider fabrication into account.

By combining welding with our sheet metal fabrication, forming and laser cutting capabilities, Metallix can support projects that require more than one manufacturing process.

LASER CUTTING

Metallix has a 3kW laser cutting capability for producing sheet metal parts and components from customer designs.

Laser cutting can support individual parts, prototypes and repeat production requirements. Cut components can also move into forming, folding, welding or wider fabrication where the project requires additional processes.

Every enquiry is reviewed individually so the team can understand the required design, quantity, lead time and wider project requirements before providing guidance.
